1. What is governed by these terms of sale

These terms govern the relationship between Federica Maurizi (the Teacher), based in Via del Vignola, 8 – 63074 San Benedetto del Tronto, tax code MRZFRC77E45E783D and VAT number 02457630446, and the person buying the services and products offered on the website www.italianonthecouch.it (“the Website”).

 

2. Courses and other services

The website offers various types of courses, lessons and activities for sale, the characteristics and content of which are stated.
Please read all information carefully and ask for clarification if you have any doubts.

 

3. Prices and discounts

The price of the courses is stated on the website and this is the finished price. We may apply discounts to the stated list price for limited periods or for multiple purchases or purchases of several services combined.

In some cases, a discount code may be provided for use at the time an order is placed.

 

4. Who can buy on-demand courses and lessons

Any natural persons over the age of 18 may buy the courses and lessons, either for themselves or on behalf of companies or entities.

Truthful, correct, complete and up-to-date data must be provided when buying the courses. These data are used solely for the purposes of invoicing and accounting.

 

5. How to buy

To buy courses or lessons, follow the procedure stated on the website to complete your order.

After having placed the order and made the payment, you will receive an automatic email confirming your purchase of the course and/or lessons with a summary of the data provided. You will later receive information on how to access the course.

When you receive the email confirming your purchase of the course and/or lessons and receipt of payment, the contract is understood as being concluded.

 

6. How to pay

You can pay by bank transfer, with PayPal (using either your PayPal balance or credit card), with the payment platforms active in the cart when you make the purchase and with the terms clearly expressed and stated.

If you pay by bank transfer

Payments by bank transfer are only accepted from countries belonging to the EMU, or subject to individual assessment in other cases.

After having placed your order, you will receive an email containing the information needed to make the bank transfer.

For online on demand courses: you will be able to access the course solely once you have sent the bank transfer receipt and once the funds have reached the stated current account.

Invoicing

Whatever type of payment you have chosen and used, we will send you the invoice in the subsequent days.

 

7. Cancellations and refunds

If you have purchased an on demand course

You have no right to withdraw and, therefore, you are not entitled to any form of refund.

This is true even if you qualify as a consumer, defined under art. 3 of the Consumer Code as “the natural person acting for purposes unrelated to any entrepreneurial, commercial, artisan or professional activity carried out”.

The exclusion of the right of withdrawal is provided for by art. 59 of the Consumer Code in the case of supply of online content through non-material media.

If you have purchased a block of live or tailored lessons

You have the right to withdraw, i.e. to cancel your attendance at one of our courses, under the following conditions.

If you cancel your attendance before the last week preceding the course, you have two options:

  1. receive an 80% refund of the amount paid;
  2. 2. keep 100% of the amount paid as credit for a subsequent edition of the same course or another course; after the first “move to another date”, any further move to another date will incur a 25% reduction in the available credit.

If you cancel between 7 to 4 days before the course, you have two options:

  1. receive a 50% refund of the amount paid;
  2. keep 50% of the amount paid as credit for a subsequent edition of the same course or another course.

If you cancel the day before or the same day as the course, you have no right to a refund.

– Live group lessons: missed lessons cannot be made up, but you can join in group practice activities offered by the teacher.

– Live 1-to1 lessons: if you can’t attend a lesson, the lesson will not be cancelled. You will receive a substitue video-lesson, so that you will be able to watch it any time you want

– Italiano tutti i giorni: valgono le regole di recessione dei corsi su misura, le lezioni ‘perse’ o di cui non usufruiscono non possono essere cancellate ma si può partecipare alle attività di pratica di gruppo offerte dall’insegnante.

 

8. Copyright

We are the exclusive owners of all content relating to the courses, unless stated otherwise. This means you can view this content solely for informative and personal educational purposes. If you wish to use the content in another manner, you must request our authorisation.
You may not copy this content, in whole or in part, nor reproduce, send to third parties or circulate it in any way.
If you breach this clause, we will be forced to terminate any existing contract. You will no longer have access to the purchased service and will have no right to a refund.

 

9. Liability

We are not liable for your failure to attend the course due to force majeure or fortuitous events, including those relating to internet malfunctions or blackouts.
We are not liable for any damage arising from use of the service in an improper manner and/or not in accordance with that stated on the website.

 

10. Applicable law and competent court

These general terms of sale are governed by Italian law.
We will seek to resolve any disputes relating to the supply of courses in an amicable manner. Should this not be possible, the dispute shall be subject to the exclusive competence of the Court of Ascoli Piceno.
